This recording is from my personal archive. There is some room noise in the quieter spots - the sound of dishes clanking and such, but it is more than worth a listen.
I also attended and have a recording of McCoy Tyner at the Blue Note later this same night. That is for another post..It was always so much fun to race around NYC seeing multiple shows in one night. Doze were da days....
The trio was Dr. Lonnie Smith on Hammond B–3 organ, synths; Jonathan Kreisberg on guitar; and Jamire Williams on drums.
Their setlist was Night Song, My Favorite Things, Frame For The Blues, Mellow Mood, Beehive, Pilgrimage.
